My name is Bill Pennington and I entered the world of digital SLRs this past Xmas with a Digital Rebel XTi. I have decided to set a goal of grossing one thousand dollars in microstock sales in 2008.
A little bit about my photography background. I was a photo major in college but only ended up taking a couple of photo classes before I dropped out. I shot a ton of skateboard photos, made a few skatemags and ads. I also assisted a photographer doing some studio work and a whole lot of weddings at place called Heaven on Earth in Missouri City, TX. This was all between 1989 and 1992. My gear at the time was a Nikon FM2 and a YashicaMat 124g.
Since then I pretty much gave up photography to focus on my tech career. I watched the digital camera revolution unfold and finally decided to jump back into it last year. I have had point and shoot digitals during this time but was not that serious about the images I got out of them. I also watched the microstock revolution unfold and decided the stars had finally aligned and it was time for me to jump back in with both feet.
